Making Sense: Joey Ho Design (2015)

Books

The prolific architect personally illustrated the cover of the monograph with a combination of watercolour paints and abstract planes from one of his works.

This project took us through 15 years of Joey Ho’s executed works fleshed out in vibrant photographs, conceptual sketches, colour palettes and post-rationalised constructs, all elegantly presented in a visual feast for the eyes. The prolific architect was blessedly co-operative during the design, providing various sketches and materials for us to layout the twin monographs in English and Chinese. He personally illustrated the cover of the monograph with a combination of watercolour paints and abstract planes from one of his works. They were then overlaid with a die-cut jacket to recompose said composition in two differently coloured and textured papers as a mode of haptic and visual differentiation.
