Singapore Architect (SA) (2016)

Magazines

Each issue is designed and published with a mind to create a piece of art for keep’s sake instead of a quick consumable for dust-binning.

As publishing and design consultant for Singapore Architect, since 2009, The Press Room has undertaken to refresh the publication since it first began in 1972. Each issue is designed and published with a mind to create a piece of art for keep’s sake instead of a quick consumable for dust-binning. Practicing what it preaches, the pages of Singapore Architect contain more than architectural editorial stories but express a lifestyle of art and design; this larger design orientation is captured by some of its distinctive design features: the open-thread spine, bellyband flap and regular reinvention of the publication lay-out. In 2011, The Press Room won the Design For Asia Bronze Award for the Singapore Architect cover designs.
