Singapore Dreaming is part of a series of publications documenting the discourses and discussions brought up by various esteemed industry professionals during Professor William S.W. Lim’s annual Asian Urban Lab - other titles in the series include Asian Design Culture (2010), Non West Modernist Past (2011), and Public Spaces in Urban Asia (2014). The theme of 2016 revolved around the debate on Singapore’s identity as a modern utopia with bountiful housing solutions for a massive population crisis, carefully planned living spaces and minimal threats of violence and war - in response to this theme, we designed a typographical book, informed by the highly academic and industry-specific content.
