A modular identity for collective expression

A modular identity for collective expression

INSTINC

2025

For 60/60: Singapore in Focus, we developed the key visual for an exhibition bringing together sixty artists in celebration of Singapore’s 60th year of independence. Working with INSTINC, the identity reflects a shared space where ideas meet, overlap, and expand across a diverse contemporary art landscape.
The visual system begins with a grid of sixty squares—a quiet, structured base that evolves into a custom typeface. The squares shift, drift, and gather, forming letterforms that symbolise collaboration, where individual contributions come together to create something larger and more cohesive.
This system extends across the exhibition catalogue and social media. The publication brings together 60 stories within a unified framework, serving as both record and reflection. Across formats, the design holds a consistent logic—where constraint drives creativity, and structure becomes a platform for dialogue.
