This book by National Gallery Singapore is the first effort to document the work of pioneering local artist Cheong Soo Pieng. Responding to the brief to preserve the contemplative and soulful qualities of his art, the layout extends these traits through considered image–text composition, generous white space, and light typefaces for pull-out quotes, creating an understated, nuanced elegance.
